The game features exceptionally detailed graphics and plenty of customization options to let you play thrilling matches with your favorite NBA teams and players in a variety of gameplay modes. There are also 12 WNBA teams available to play in NBA 2K21, as well as 67 classic NBA teams for those that feel a bit nostalgic.MyCareer mode has become a staple in the series and returns to let you create and customize your own player, and play through their career. You can also take part in 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5 matches in The Neighborhood, which includes new locations like 2K Beach.
MyTeam mode is also back in NBA 2K21 and it brings some novelties. There are seasonal rewards that you can earn by winning matches during weekly competitions. There will be restrictions to the player cards that you can use during those Limited mode competitions but you will earn rings to buy exclusive seasonal rewards.
There is also a new Exchange feature that lets you trade cards to get even better ones.
